Less than Zero (1987)

Less than Zero The basic story
Clay is a young man spending his summer holiday with his friends and family in Hollywood. Here we see him moving aimlessly around, screwing, snorting and drinking... that's it.

How was it?
Boring and pointless. There is no actual story, we just follow Clay as he moves around. Ellis' writing style is good, I like it, which gives him one star, but the "story", and I'm being nice here, is boring an pointless. After a couple of pages with sex and drugs you get the point. They all do it... Hollywood is not a nice place... So? We've got the setting... how about a story? The sequel Imperial Bedrooms contains a story. May I suggest you read that one instead.
