Pirate Latitudes (2009)

Pirate Latitudes The basic story
Jamaica 1665. Captain Charles Hunter is made aware a treasure galleon, which is anchored at the heavily fortified Spanish island of Matanceros. This is highly unusual and could mean the presence of an extraoridinary treasure. He gathers a crew and sets out to steal the treasure... if there really is one.

How was it?
Very entertaining. Not one of Crichton's best book, but very entertaining. Those who liked The Great Train Robbery will enjoy this book. Lots of action, lots of interesting characters. No black and white in the portraying of the characters and the setting, but shades of gray. As always Crichton's writing is visual and gripping and easy to read. This is the type of book which is perfect for vacations and travels.
