Inside Out (2015)

Inside Out The basic story
Riley grew up a happy kid in the Midwest. Then, at the same time as puberty hit, she and her family had to move to San Francisco, where she had to find her place and fit in. Inside her head, her five emotions Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness try to guide her, while trying not to get in each other's way.

Puberty hitting Riley, her emotions not only get in each other's way, some of them also end up in the wrong places in Riley's mind, causing quite a stir, and they have to find their way back.

How was it?
Quite good. Not as good as you would think from the hype (and the Oscar), but well worth watching.

It is in the lower end of the four star category, but still, it is the type of movie you would want to watch again. The animation is good, the story is original, and it's the type of story that works for both children and grown-ups. Just what you would expect from Pixar.

I think they spent too much time on the emotions running around in the wacky world in Riley's head, instead of Riley's experience in the real world. Also it would have been nice to see more of the emotions inside the other people's heads. Seeing how the emotions are both the same and yet different from person to person was quite entertaining. On the DVD/BD there is a short movie called Riley's First Date, where we meet her date, Jordan, and his emotions, and see some more of Riley's father and his emotions, when handling that Riley has a date.
