Force 10 from Navarone (1978)

Force 10 from Navarone The basic story
Some time after the mission to Navarone, Mallory and Miller are once again put on the same team and sent on a mission. This time they are going to Yugoslavia. The mission is led by Colonel Barnsby, and it involves sabotage and killing the Greek traitor Nicolai who is believed to be with the Yugoslav partisans.

How was it?
Bland.

It wasn't a bad movie per se, it just wasn't very good either. It didn't have the same level of suspense as Guns of Navarone, and the story felt uneven and constructed. Visually it wasn't a beautiful movie like Guns of Navarone, though a few of the sequences were nicely done. The dialogue often felt forced and unnatural. Robert Shaw and Edward Fox as Mallory and Miller didn't work for me. Not because they were bad actors, they were just too different from Gregory Peck and David Niven to work for me.

Being a sequel to an outstanding movie is always difficult, but as a movie in its own right, I still found it bland.
