Mannequin (1987)
The basic storyJonathan Switcher is a young artist who can't seem to find the right job. Emmy is an ancient Egyptian who has come to life through the ages, helping artists create great works of art, while searching for love. Through a series of accidents Jonathan ends up working in a department store. A mannequin he created in one of his earlier jobs ends there too, and at night it comes to life as Emmy, trying to help him become a great artist.
How was it?
Entertaining. Predictable, but very entertaining. Love conquers all, happy end, and all that jazz. The first two minutes of intro with Emmy in ancient Egypt was rather bad, but after that it is a highly entertaining love story with good gags and funny characters. It is a typical 1980s movie in terms of music and composition but the story still works, and it well worth the time.
