Story: Charles Taine was the errand boy of a famous scientist. He was given the task of delivering the scientists new super-plastic fluid to the Science Council but on the way there he took a small detour to watch a little of the Robot Gladiator Tournament. While at the tournament he accidentally drank the super-plastic fluid instead of a soda he had bought. The fluid gave him bouncing powers which could be activated at will [ Adventure Comics No. 301].

With his new powers, Taine tried to join the Legion of Super-Heroes, but lost the competition [Action Comics #276]. He did not give up hope of joining the Legion, and shortly after he helped the Legion and was made subsequently made a Legionnaire [ Adventure Comics No. 301].


Skills & abilities: Inflatable body, electrical invulnerability (while bouncing) and resistance to injury. Super-bouncing.


Equipment: Legion flight ring, giving him flight capability.
