Story: The Legion of Super-Heroes decided to make Jimmy an honorary member of the Legion. They pretended to be an alien called the Collector (and several of his super aliases) who wanted to punish him for some heinous crime. Jimmy however revealed the hoax and had thus passed the initiation test for honorary members of the Legion of Super-Heroes, which he then joined as Elastic Lad [Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #72].


Skills & abilities: Using Professor Potter's "elastic serum" Jimmy Olsen has the power to stretch any part of his body to incredible lengths for a time. The time os limited by the mount of serum ingested.
Equipment: As Elastic Lad, Olsen wears a special costume that can stretch and contract as he does.
