Story: During his upbringing in Smallville, Superboy was one day contacted by the Legion of Super-Heroes. They transported him to their club house in the 30th century Smallville. After playing a small prank on him, Superboy was accepted into the Legion [Adventure Comics #247]. Kal-El stayed in the Legion, even when he grew up and became Superman, and participated on numerous Legion missions. He was however most active while he was a young man before joining the Justice League of America [Justice League of America (first series) #9].

While the city Kandor was miniturized and bottled, Superman and his friend Jimmy Olsen took in the identities Nightwing and Flamebird acting as the Kandor version of Batman and Robin.

At some point in the 1970s he became a reporter at WGBS. He did eventually return to Daily Planet.


Skills & abilities: Originally flight, super strength, super speed, super sight, super hearing and invulnerability, but he lost his powers after exposing himself to gold kryptonite.
