Background notes: Even though The Flintstone Flyer was the first episode to air in 1960, it was not the first episode to be made. The very first to be made was The Flagstones, a screen test for the characters. At this point Flintstone's name was Flagstone which they evidently changed for the series. The first cartoon for the series to be made was The Swimming Pool which was the third episode to be aired.
