Skills & abilities: Erik Josten's body is charged with ionic energy which he can channel into augmented strength and durability, enhanced by the ability to change size. Atlas possesses the ability to increase in size and mass anywhere from his normal height of 6 feet to his maximum limit of 60 feet. At his normal six foot size, Goliath can lift (press) between 20 and 30 tons, depending upon level of fatigue and other factors. At his maximum 60-foot stature, Atlas is able to lift in excess of 100 tons. Change in size requires Atlas to actively concentrate on change, making his change in size stable if he should become unconscious, on the other hand it also means that if he is mentally tired, changing size takes a lot of extra time and effort.

The combination of the two powers makes Josten slightly unstable, both mentally and physically. If he overexerts himself, he may become overcharged and explode into disembodied energy. Like his change in size this requires concentration, but at a larger scale e.g. focusing on his love for Dallas Riordan.
