Story: Only very little has been revealed about Tim Roland's past. He worked with the Black Terror (going only by his first name) and he was part of a group of sidekicks when he was younger [3].

When the humans first set foot on the Moon on July 20th, 1969, they woke up an alien that had crash landed and been buried there since the Moon was formed. The alien killed the astronauts and went to Earth where it started mining for something on Antarctica. The members of S.M.A.S.H. tried to stop the alien but all except Tom Strange got killed or trapped in a force bubble and placed in orbit. In order to get help from the only source he knew, Tom Strange traveled through space on foot for 30 years until he reached Earth and Tom Strong in October 2000 [4].

Tom Strong and Tom Strange went back to Terra Obscura, where they found the imprisoned super-heroes trapped in their force bubbles [4]. In the force bubbles, time had stood still and Strange and Strong was able to rescue them all. The alien in the meantime had tried to convert the planet to a new space ship to replace the one it had crashed. While it was big, it had only used a small part of Antarctica, and Terror 2000 was able to rewrite the programming and make it take leave the planet with the size it had gained [5].

After the alien had left, Tim and Terror 2000 went back to protecting the city Invertica, forming Terror Incorporated. Terror was considered a threat to Smenkhkare's plans of World domination, and Smenkhkare tried to have him shut down. The attempt failed [1], and Tim and some of the other heroes stopped Smenkhkare's plans [2].

In the time after the Alien left Earth, Tim got involved with Diana Adams [1]. The relationship didn't last [2], and suffering from a broken heart, Tim accidentally took an overdose and died. Terror, the Bob Benton program, made a robotic copy of Tim started posing as him until he was terminated a few months later [3].

Background notes: Tim Roland is originally a Golden Age sidekick from the Black Terror stories from Better Publications. Like the original version, this version of Tim Roland was a kid/teenager and the crime fighting partner of the Black Terror (like Batman had Robin and Captain America had Bucky), only a little later than the original. The original stories took place in the 1940s, whereas this version, to make the chronology and types of stories fit, took place in the mid 1950s to early 1960s.
