Story: Steve Traynor was a supernatural talent in flying and during WWII he was active in air combat at the age of 10, and already known and feared by the enemy as Jetlad [Top 10: The Forty-Niners].

In 1949, after WWII, Traynor and the rest of the metahumans/heroes were placed in the city Neopolis. The heroes had been popular during the war but after the war, ordinary people started fearing them, and they were all moved to the city Neopolis, a city made specifically for the heroes/metahumans. On the way there he met Leni Muller, the Sky Witch, and they moved into the same rooming house, and they became friends [Top 10: The Forty-Niners].

On the first night in town, Steve visited a bar, where he met the Skysharks, and most importantly the Skyshark named Wulf. The Skysharks hired Traynor as a mechanic and while working there, Steve learned to accept that he was gay and he fell in love with Wulf. The two moved in together [Top 10: The Forty-Niners], and are still a couple.

Traynor joined the police force in the 1960s [ABC: A-Z, Top 10 and Teams], and in 1999 he was police captain at Top 10 [Top 10 #1].
