Background notes: Shamrock Gander is a rather obscure character from the Disney Universe. He was first seen in Four Color #649 from 1955 in one of the Photo Album Stories (The issues are not labeled Four Color but Duck Album and occasionally the issues can only be located under the name Duck Album). The author of the story is unknown and the art is believed to be Tony Strobl (no story and art credits in the comic book). The second appearance of the character was not until 1978 and the third and last story so far is from 1981. He was mentioned in an article about Gladstone Gander in the Scandinavian Disney comics in 2003, but has not otherwise been seen anywhere but the three stories.
