Story: Foster McClane was one of the first to be approached by the United Nation's StormWatch program along with Maya Royko and Jackson King. In 1978, the training of the small team was coming along quite well, and shortly after an attack by a group of terrorists that the team stopped, the new U.N. peace keeping force StormWatch was announced [1].

During training McClane and King competed for leadership of the team. McClane however turned out to be too reckless for the position as leader and much to his dismay, King was made leader of the first team StormWatch Prime [1].

On a mission in Kuwait in the final days of Desert Storm, Flashpoint was captured along with his teammates Nautika and Sunburst. The three operatives were believed to be dead, but were instead held captive in Deathtrap's penthouse fortress in Gamorra [3]. The three operatives being alive was discovered when StormWatch caught a Gamorran smuggler who wanted to cut a deal [2]. Battalion and his team went straight into Gamorra with a team and saved their missing teammates [3].

Flashpoint and the rest of the rescued team shouldn't have been sent on new missions for some time after they had been rescued, but increasing amounts of terrorist activity, forced the three StormWatch operatives back in action shortly after [4].

Shortly after the rescue, Flashpoint went after Deathtrap and his group, trying to find out who has hired them to kidnap StormWatch Prime. In his search he killed the mercenary Kilgore, and was well on his way to get killed by the rest of Deathtrap and his group when he was saved by Sunburst and Nautika and thrown in jail [7].

His incarceration was brief and he soon came back to active status in StormWatch [5]. He was however at the time not completely sane, and started enjoying killing, while losing more and more of his sanity. He ended up betraying StormWatch before he was finally killed in a fight with Battalion [6].

Skills & abilities: Flashpoint can project powerful optic energy beams from his eyes. The speed, intensity and path of the beam are controlled by Flashpoint.
