Background notes: The character Biquinho was a bit unusual, when he was created, as he was a yellow duck, and apparently he was an orphan (his origin was told in Almanaque Disney #175 and Mickey #407, both from 1985), and his stories ties into a lot of the Disney versions of classic stories Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood, Peter Pan, and The Jungle Book. At some point, a porcupine family (Espeto and Farpinha) took care of him.

Biquinho first appeared in Almanaque Disney #129 in February 1982, as a part of a game called Jogo Do Biquinho. As a character in a story, he did not appear until two months later, in the story O Furacão Branco E Preto in Tio Patinhas #202.

In the stories he interacts with the general population of Disney characters in Duckburg, as could be expected. While the stories were produced in Brazil however, he also interacted with a lot of characters outside the normal population in Duckburg, e.g. The Wuzzles and 0.0. Duck, and he even had his own cast in the form of the girl next door, Cintia, and her family.

Biquinho was a fairly popular character in the period 1982 to 2002, after which the production was reduced to only a few stories from time to time. New stories are still being produced, last record so far is from 2009, and he can be expected to appear in new Fethry stories, as Fethry is a popular character in Italian stories. Until 1999 the stories were produced almost entirely in Brazil (a few French stories/illustrations were made), after which the production moved to Europe, almost only Italy. The move from Brazil to Italy resulted in the character changing color from yellow to white, for some reason, and he stopped interacting with characters outside the general cast of Ducks in Duckburg.

There are presently no records of Biquinho being transferred to other media, but it is highly likely he has has appeared as merchandise.
