Background notes: Witch Hazel is a minor character in the Disney Universe. Her first appearance in Trick or Treat from 1952 was to date also the only appearance in cartoons. In her one appearance June Foray did the voice.

In comics, Witch Hazel first appeared in a comic book adaption of the cartoon. Later she started appearing in stories with Madam Mim and Magica de Spell. Being essentially a good witch compared to Magica de Spell, the stories were those where Magica and Madam Mim didn't play the role as villains.

Hazel never became popular like Magica de Spell and Madam Mim, and her appearances outside comics and cartoons is limited to a few items like pins and figurines, but she had some staying power none the less. Today after 50+ years she is still around in the comics.
