Background notes: No pet is perfect without an owner, even Garfield. Jon is the dorky owner who almost newer lands a date and despite his best efforts he just can't seem to be in control of his life and pets.
Like the rest of the crew from the Garfield cast, Jon also occurred in the cartoons, both the solos and the series
Garfield & Friends where his voice was done by Thom Huge. In the live action movie
Garfield - The Movie from 2004, Jon was played by Breckin Meyer. Unlike the comic and cartoon version, Jon was more of a shy guy than a dork. He even ended up with Liz Wilson who actually thought he was cute and wanted a date.
