Story: Nothing has been revealed about Dredd's background. He took over the leadership of Youngblood when Alexander Graves disappeared [1], and tried to destroy the team from within. It has not been revealed what he was planning or why, but but he was apparently removed again as Graves was the one who told Shaft that the Youngblood program had been discontinued [2].
