Background notes: When Marc Silvestri started Image and launched his series Cyberforce, Ripclaw was mostly seen as a Wolverine rip-off due to his claws and feral nature. The first storyarc "Tin Men of War" did not help much to change this impression. Like Green Arrow starting out as a Batman copy with an arrow motif, Ripclaw soon developed into a character in his own right and must be considered as different from Wolverine as Green Arrow is from Batman.
