Background notes: Idgit the Midget first appeared in Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #313 from 1966, along with his partner in crime Dangerous Dan McBoo. The first four years they only appeared a few times, but then in 1970, they started appearing on a regular basis, often in a team up with other villains like Black Pete, Emil Eagle and the Phantom Blot. Due to Idgit the Midget's diminutive size, a recurring theme in the crimes was him dressing up as something small and innocent like a doll or a baby, or being able to get access due to his size. Their adversaries, i.e. the heroes, were primarily Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Chief O'Hara. The two villains are still seen from time to time, but after 1983, the production of new stories was reduced to the occasional story every other year. Last actual story is from 2001, but they have been seen several times since then, either as cameo appearance, as illustrations or as reprints.

The character was created at least in part by Paul Murry, as he was the artist on the first story. The writer on the story is presently unknown.

There are no indications of Dangerous Dan McBoo and Idgit the Midget being transferred to other media.
